Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

You will need:

  • A 16 x 24 baking tray
  • A Spatula
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Greaseprooof paper
  • An Electric Mixer
  • A very good oven
  • 2 x 2 litre bowls
  • Ice cream scoop


  • 240 grams unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • 3 cup plain flour (not self raising flour)
  • 2 Medium Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla

Method :

  • Please greaseproof paper on a baking tray
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F / 176 C
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  • Add eggs one a time, a minute apart from each other
  • Add Vanilla, then beat until light and fluffy
  • Combine all dry ingredients flour baking powder and soda until incorporated very well.
  • Add flour mixture one cup at a time until combined
  • Add chocolate chip cookies by hand with a wooden spoon
  • With an ice cream scoop of your choice, fill the scoop with batter and press firmly, then release on lined baking tray
  • Bake at 350 degrees F / 176 C for a minimum of 10-12 minutes or until its done
  • Cool for at least 1 hour before serving
  • Use spatula to lift cookies gently off tray and store in an airtight container for up to 7days
